About Pain Education Society

Welcome to the Pain Education Society (PES)!!! Launched in 2009 by Michelle Byers, President and Chair, the Pain Education Society is a non-denominational, not for profit, charitable society committed to promoting overall health and well-being through educational programs and advocacy. PES is also committed to outreach, advocacy and education for at risk, vulnerable populations suffering needlessly, including: women, children, the elderly and the impoverished.

The Pain Education Society will focus on education and advocacy meetings in the United States – focusing on a broad range of topics including Eastern philosophies and non-medicinal interventions as well as physical therapy, chiropractic care, yoga and/or pilates, massage, nutrition and overall health to promote the control of pain, as well as Western medicine and education about the proper utilization of such for optimal results. Physical therapy and interventional care will be a key focus for launch, focusing on the needs of California Physical Therapists requirements for mandated CEU’s beginning in 2009.
